Windsor Hotel

Very nice hotel! Location was great. Pretty quiet and safe neighborhood. The staff was very nice and helpful!! They clean the lobby every single morning, which includes the windows and everything. Staff on duty 24/7. One minute walk to the subway station. There is a convenience store right across the street. This was my first trip to NYC and I was very happy with this hotel. I will definitely be staying there again.

Look. I'll be straight and to the point. This is a bed with a private bathroom. Were the sheets and bed spread dazzling white? No. Was the bathroom pristine enough to eat off the floor? No. Did it keep me dry and warm? Yes. Just returned from three nights here. Tore apart the bed on arrival and combed over the whole thing. Couldn't find one trace of a bed bug anywhere. After three nights of sleeping here I didn't have any bites at all. The heater and AC worked. The shower had amazing pressure and super hot water. All in all not a bad room for what it is. Front desk staff were very nice. The location is incredible being right in Chinatown and right beside the subway stop. If you are looking for a great location with just a room to crash in until your next-day adventure I wouldn't turn this place down. It's NYC- you're not spending loads of time in your room anyway. Don't expect a Hilton experience on a Motel 6 budget.

Great Hotel in a good location in Chinatown. Only five minutes from the subway. The hotel is on the older side but the rooms are ok. Everything is working, sheets are clean and beds are fine. It is not a four seasons though. But for people wanting to visit the city and not only staying at the hotel and don't want to spend a fortune it is a great place. The personnel at the front desk are super nice and accommodating. We felt very welcomed and had a great time.

Was able to get checked in early, and received the Penthouse at no extra cost. Elevator went straight to my room with my keycard which was really cool. Had rooftop access and could see so much of the city. Lots of space in the room. The staff was really nice and always smiling. Would love to stay again.

For 2 star hotel I didn’t have much expectation. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised finding travel size toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner in our bathroom. They provide cleaning only by request. Room was cold when we arrived and the heating button was hard to operate due to its state - the top of the button just wasn’t there. Despite these facts, if you are looking for a cheap stay in Manhattan, go for it. Plus, It’s close to the orange subway line which gets you to the most iconic spots.

My friends and I had no major issues when staying here this past weekend. Basically a bed to crash in, nothing fancy - get out of your hotel room and go see NYC anyway. Room was clean enough, beds weren’t stained or really dirty, and everything worked fine. Decent low cost option near Chinatown. Only real problem I had was that it took quite a while for the shower water to warm up.

Let's be honest, you're not staying here because It's luxuriant. You're staying here because it's one of the cheapest hotels in the city with a private bathroom. With that out of the way, I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the beds were, the relative quiet of the AC unit, the temperature, and pressure of the water in the shower (really good). As far as toiletries go, it was nice of the hotel to provide a toothbrush and paste in addition to the standard soap and shampoo. The issues I encountered were, the fan in the bathroom would not turn off, which was easily silenced by closing the door. The towels are scratchy, and one of mine had a large blood-like stain on it. While I'm sure it was washed, it was unnerving. Cups, plastic or otherwise might have been nice for drinking water from the faucet. There are easily accessible outlets, but the flanges on the inside were worn enough to not hold my charger up. There aren't really any drawers to hold socks and such barring small nightstand and a shelf above the clothes hangars. The hotel practically overlooks the Grand St station and is only a few minute walk from Delauncey Essex. Lots of wonderful places to eat in the area as well.

The Hotel was great! Excellent service, Its staff is very kind, friendly, and attentive to the needs of customers. Really good location, it has 2 subway stations really close. The rooms were really comfortable and clean and the price is cheap. They gives better services than a lot of really expensive hotels. Its not an 5 stars hotel but it makes you feel like it really is. Great experience with them.
